Perfect Fit: Measure for a Circular Dress
At Atara Atelier Designs, we want every piece you wear to fit beautifully and comfortably — just the way you like it.
If you’re ordering a circular dress (also known as a full or skater dress), taking the right body measurements helps us create a perfect fit made especially for you.
Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you measure yourself accurately at home.
✨ What You’ll Need:
- A soft measuring tape
- A mirror
- A friend to help (optional but useful)
- Pen and paper to note down the numbers
1. Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust.
Make sure it goes around your back and stays straight — not too tight, not too loose.
🪡 Tip: Stand naturally with your arms relaxed at your sides.
2. Waist
Find your natural waist — the narrowest part of your tummy, just above the belly button.
Wrap the tape around and keep it snug but comfortable.
🎀 This measurement helps us know exactly where your dress will sit.
3. Hips
Measure around the widest part of your hips and bottom.
Keep the tape level all the way around for an accurate result.
This ensures your dress flows nicely without being too tight or too loose.
4. Shoulder to Waist
Place the tape at the top of your shoulder (near your neck) and measure down to your natural waistline.
This tells us how long the top part of your dress should be.
5. Dress Length
Decide how long you’d like your dress to be — short, knee-length, midi, or floor-length.
Then, measure from your waist down to where you’d like the dress to end.
👗 Tip: Stand straight when taking this measurement for accuracy.
